Atlatls Are Amazing
The word alatl is from Aztec language. An atlatl is a tool up to 1 meter in length used to throw a spear. A weight can be attached to the atlatl to leverage more power to the spear. It increases the accuracy and distance of the projectile. The spear is launched at eye level to improve accuracy.

An atlatl is easier to make than a bow. It is usually made of wood. It can be used for hunting´╝î fishing or self-defense. It is widely used by natives. During the conquest of Mexico, Spanish soldiers realized that a primitive spear launched from an atlatl could pierce their armor. Spear throwing is incomplete without an atlatl.
