Mobile Phone Criteria Are Simple
mobile phone
A mobile phone is supposed to be used for communication, taking pictures and navigation. It is not meant for gaming.

Criteria for mobile phone:

  1. Flashlight.
  2. Documents can be photographed clearly.
  3. The camera has high dynamic range (HDR) function.
  4. LTE (4G) support.
  5. Compass.
  6. Not standard SIM card because it has become uncommon and may be hard to use the card on other phones.
  7. Laser autofocus for camera. It can focus quickly so shaky images are no longer a problem. But it does not look good for landscape picture.
  8. Bigger battery capacity when comparing two phones, up to 5000 mAh or more. Although it is heavier but longer power is essential. Higher capacity should come with a faster charger.
  9. Higher version of Gorilla glass when comparing two phones for better scratchproof and shatterproof quality.

Personal preference:

  1. Earphone jack.
  2. Screen size. Although bigger screen can still be operated by one hand by activating the micro screen feature but it cannot fit into shirt pocket and drains battery faster.
  3. Screen resolution. Higher resolution although looks good, it drains battery faster.
  4. RAM size.
  5. ROM size.
  6. Processor speed. Faster processor drains battery faster.
  7. Camera aperture. f/2.2 should be sufficient for normal use.
  8. Camera resolution.
  9. Power saving toggle switch.
  10. OTG (on-the-go) support so that USB device (such as wireless adapter, keyboard, pendrive) can be used.
  11. Infra red.
  12. Fingerprint sensor. It can unlock the phone directly without having to press the power button first.
  13. Dolby Atmos for nicer sound.
  14. Dual SIM.
  15. Removable battery. Non-removable battery has become a norm.
