Do Not Pay Before Getting Full Service
Do not pay if you cannot get full service right after paying. In other words, if a service requires you to pay full amount first but the service is stretched thru a period of time to be completed, do not pay. This is related to the one of the dark sides of human including you and me. Once the money is in our pocket, we tend to put less attention on the existing customer than the potential customer that is yet to pay us. Even the employers will not pay the employees in the beginning of the month before employees work.

Exceptional case: insurance. You cannot help it. You cannot get the full service first right? Insurance service, like banking service, is backed by the government. So it should be OK. Furthermore you can sign up the scheme that works like saving in which you can get back full amount of your money after a contractual date.
