Raw Okra Leaves Are Edible
Okra can mean okra plant or its fruit. It is also called lady's finger. Its botanical name is Abelmoschus esculentus. There are a number of varieties based on the characteristic of its fruit: red, short, long.

It can grow to be as tall as a man. Its fairly large flower has five petals. With its yellow flowers and 5 to 7-lobe palmate leaves, it has artistic value. However, the flower can only last for one day. Its fruit is a pod with pentagonal cross-section.

Both raw okra pod and leaves are edible.

It is easier to be propagated by seeds. Due to its size, one pot should only have one plant. It is a tropical plant so it needs full direct sunlight to grow well.
