Some purposes of the alteration are to:
1) say that Jesus Christ is not God (attacking Christ's deity).
2) take away the doctrine of Trinity.
3) complicate salvation.
4) conceal Satan's name.
5) dilute morality.
6) change to difficult vocabulary.
7) alter historical fact so that the Bible seems erroneous.
8) add New Age element (e.g. Matthew 12:32).

I use King James Bible to benchmark. It should be fair to use King James Bible because it is being used since the year 1611 and it is now in public domain (not belonging to anybody or organization). It is also called Authorized Version and the reason it is called so is valid. King James Bible is based on Byzantine text from Antioch in Syria while most modern 'Bible' versions are based on Alexandrian text from Alexandria in Egypt. King James Bible distinguishes precisely between the second-person singular (thou, thee, thy, thine) and second person plural (ye, you, your, yours). It is good to read the Bible in the original languages but few people know Hebrew (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament). I do not think the translation of King James version has been inspired by Holy Spirit but is just the most technically accurate. The translators were strictly scholastic and let the Apocrypha remain between Old and New Testament like the previous translations. Apocrypha was not inspired by God as evidenced by its inappropriate teaching such as Tobit 12:8 (For alms doth deliver from death, and shall purge away all sin) and no longer remains in the Bible today. King James I said, "And as to the Apocryphe bookes, I omit them, because I am no Papist, as I said before, and indeede some of them are no waies like the ditement of the Spirit of God." Unfortunately some newly published so-called 'King James Bible' itself also has mistake such as in Job 33:4 and Matthew 4:1.

I denote the alteration as strikethrough and underline. Strikethrough means omission and underline means addition. If a strikethrough is followed by an underline, it is a replacement. If I have any short comment I put it in bracket and in italic right after the verse. The verses are in biblical book sequence. Let us start inspecting the Bible.
